Weekend Update

On Friday I got off work at noon, and went to meet the team at Trinity Bellwoods. Actually, we met at Tealish, one of them fancy all-tea kinda places. Afterwards, Leah went to help Katherine paint her new apartment.

That night we went to the Gem. Afterwards we watched Dark Blue, Almost Black (or azuloscurocasinegro), which was pretty cool-but-weird, in that most-bizarre-scenario-we-could-imagine kinda foreign film way. And Leah came up with a hair plan.

On Saturday, we took the expensive cats to the vet so that they don't get the rabies. It was hilarious trying to get them into their carrier, and I am pretty surprised that I don't have bloody meat ribbons for arms. After their shots etc. at the vet, they were quite happy to return to the confines of what was, just 20 minutes earlier, the last place on earth they were going.

We also went to get a free couch from next door to our new apartment. After contemplating what to do with the stupid thing, we ended up leaving it on the porch, for us to get later. After that, we decided we don't even want it, so the whole thing was an exercise in wasting time and in lifting really heavy stuff.

We also practised music a bit for church...

Sunday - I tried to get more boxes for packing, but failed (Leah scored big at the Dufferin Mall though). I took down shelves (and with the shelves, big chunks of paint), blinds, and other random hooks and nails, and packed a few things.

Church was kinda frustrating, 'cause the sound was sorta bad. Afterwards we went to the Rice Bar with Jen. It is a great place to go if you want to try eating a huge bowl of rice with chopsticks. It is also a good place to go and sit on a patio when Kensington is in pedestrians-only mode, and there is a live reggae band performing up the street.

When we got home we talked to brother Reeve on the phone !!!!!

you know, that movie still kind of looks like a drama-shot of Leah and Trent after trying to force the cats into their carrier.
